Go is a game that is both as old as recorded time and new and emerging. We’re a small group of enthusiasts in the Walla Walla area who enjoy anything from casual games over coffee to full-evening lectures. Some of us even stayed up to watch the 2016 matches where AlphaGo famously defeated Lee Sedol (이세돌) live from Korea. Whatever your level of interest you’re welcome to join us to enjoy community, attend get-togethers, and practice the world’s most captivating strategy game!
For many years we’ve been meeting on weeknights at Sweet Basil Pizzeria, downtown in Walla Walla (see a map). Right now we’re meeting from 6:30 to 9:00pm on Monday nights. Come eat some pizza, support a local business, and play some Go. We bring the club’s Go gear, but you’re welcome to bring yours too. Don’t forget to bring a friend!

You bet! It only takes a few people and a bunch of stones to have a board-flippingly good time. In the past we’ve had everything from weekly meet-ups over pizza to Go movie nights and even small tournaments. We’re pretty informal, and we love to make friends. If you’re interested in becoming part of the community please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We used to only be on Facebook, but over the years we’ve discovered that each person tends to like a different way to communicate. Additionally, each way of communicating has different strengths and weaknesses. Find your favorite flavor and join the chatter.
